Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario and reared in Hamilton, Ontario, Paul Mackan is a writer, writing teacher, freelance broadcaster, actor, and filmmaker. His award-winning stories have been published in Resonances (September House), in The Grist Mill (Valley Writers’ Guild), and in The Ottawa Citizen and have been performed on Canadian Broadcasting Corporation radio. His humour and opinion pieces have appeared in newspapers across Canada. A widower, Paul currently lives in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. (Paul’s surname rhymes with crackin’.)
